Our Perfect Day!

So Peaceful!
Awwwwww!
Playing Together!
Too Cute!
A Picnic Lunch and lots of Smiles!
Tuesdays are our day...We love to hit the beach! Today was especially perfect. We were the only ones at the beach! I know there are several storms out at sea and the waves sure proved that! But we don't go in much past our knees anyways. Maddie surfed. Jack played in the sand and chased the birds. They played together. I was able to sit and watch them play...and relax a little. Not easy for a Mom to do! It was just one of those perfect days....

And We Ate Cake...

The Birthday Princess in the Tower

Cake time!

Blowing out the candles!

Happy Birthday Dear Madigail....

One TIRED birthday girl!
Four years ago my life changed forever and all my dreams came true! Madigail my sweet little girl was born. I love her more and more every day (tantrums, attitude, smiles, hugs, and all!) Happy Birthday Maddie! I can't wait to see all your dreams come true too! xoxoxo

THE Party (Part 2)

On the trampoline!

Lana and Jack sharing the froggy

Maddie's BFF Brynn on the swing

Isabel
Lauren on the beam
So much fun was had at the party - I had to post more pictures!
On Thursday nights Maddie goes to gymnastics...Jack used to sit in the waiting room with me, watching, playing, and snacking. Last year it was hard enough to keep him away from the gym floor - but now that he has experienced it?!? I am in BIG trouble! Looks like I will need a babysitter on Thursday nights - just so Maddie can do gymnastics!

THE Party! (Part 1)

The Gymnasts!
Jack had a blast!
The Froggy Cake!
Madigail was the star of the show!
Our 4 year old birthday girl ready for the party!
For her 4th birthday Madigail wanted a Froggy party at Island Gymnastics (where she takes classes). What a great party! We had the whole gym to ourselves...the kids jumped on the trampoline, jumped into the foam pit, walked on the balance beams, played on the floor with all kinds of climbing stuff, and swung on the rope swing. By cake time the kids were sweaty, hot, and exhausted! All of our gymnasts won a medal that day! Happy 4th birthday Madigail!

Birthday Boat Trip (Jack's Second Boat Ride)

Loving the boat ride!

Smiles!
Jack is like - wow where are we?! This is a big pool!

Looking for dolphins....

Traditional Harbor Town Picture
For Madigail's birthday celebration we also took her out on the Harbor Town Yacht Club boat. Last summer we did this a bunch of times and she loved it! Last year Jack was scared and cried on the boat. This year he really liked it! He walked all over the boat- and loved looking into the water. Luckily he didn't fall overboard! We were lucky to get a sunset cruise and we saw a handful of dolphins! Seeing dolphins swim and jump never gets old!

And the Party Begins...Maddie turns 4!

The cake Maddie and I made! She covered it with sprinkles!

Eating her cake!

Wow! A lot of presents (there is a couch fort behind her too!)

Love for her new twin babies!

Lobster Dinner! Her choice - yes she ate a whole lobster!
On August 9th, Madigail turned 4. Hard to believe 4 years ago we were in the hospital just welcoming our baby. That was the best day of my life! I am proud to be a Mom but especially proud to be Maddie's Mom. I love every minute I have with her - and love her more with each minute! I wouldn't change a day - not even the worse one full of tantrums and tears. Luckily most days are full of laughter, made up songs, stories, hugs and kisses, giggles and smiles.
This was an especially sweet birthday...Maddie knew it was all about her. She woke up that morning with a smile on her face that said "hey this is my special day!" and everywhere we went people made her feel special!

One Day at A Time

Jack eating noodles like a big boy!

Daddy and Maddie - Chillin'

Maddie singing the blessing at Aunt Brenda's birthday party!

Loving his noodles!

Nap time...Always touching!
We are just taking life - one day at a time! Life is busy but good! This month
we have been to Poppop's Rotary lunch where he was made President.
And we celebrated Aunt Brenda's 75th birthday with a big bash!
At both, Maddie stood in front of a big crowd and sang her blessing.
She is proud of herself!
Nap time in our house is usually very peaceful (except for today!) I put Maddie and Jack in my bed together - it is just easier for me to check on them. They love it! I always put them at opposite sides of the bed - and they always end up touching in the end! So sweet. I still think Jack would sleep in his own bed if he shared a room with Maddie! Anyone have any bunk beds for sale?

Smiling Faces

Painting Frogs for Maddie's Birthday Party...
Jack did an awesome job and loved it!

Maddie made up song about "We Love Each Other"...
we are always making up songs!

Smiles for a "Stay Home Day"

Driving his car

My new favorite pic of Jack...so serious. So cute!
Summer found us busy all the time! Beach, pool, PlayCare, and all around. One day we just decided we needed a "stay home day"! So we painted frogs for Maddie's birthday party. We played dress up and sang and danced. We played outside. Jack was so into the painting. He SAT still - which is an amazing thing! Maybe he does have a little of his Mama in him (LOL!)
I love the beach...but our "stay home days" well they are my favorite days...usually these are our Tuesdays (no work or school for us!). Funny how when I was teaching full time - I disliked Tuesdays the most. I remember telling my friends, that Mondays are ok because we are still reliving the weekend but Tuesday panic set in - had to get my work done before Thursday/Friday so I would have a free weekend to play! Now Tuesdays are my favorite days...Like a free day in a week full of activity! I think Maddie and Jack enjoy our whimsical Tuesdays as well....
