Disney World 2009

Goofy and Donald Duck

Waiting for one of many parades....

WOW! That is about all I can say! Two days in Disney really gives you that magical feeling! We saw every parade, every show, watched fireworks, and saw Tinkerbell fly through the sky! And got LOTS of autographs in Maddie's autograph book. I'm not sure who was more excited to meet all the princesses and fairies (me or Maddie?) Our first day there was sunny and beautiful and extremely busy. But we did manage to go on the required rides like "It's a small world", the Tea Cups, a kiddie coaster, a carousel, Swiss Family Robinson, and a few others. Our second day was actually New Year's Day and it was much quieter and raining! We bought pancho's and braved the storm to see it all...It was actually a GREAT day! But the pictures are pretty much a wash out from the rain. Maddie and Jack loved it all - and sure were tired on the way home! Our trip back to SC took us 12 hours instead of 5 (because of traffic!) and both little one's slept most of the way! It was still an awful drive though. But our year started off with a Disney Bang!

Dolphins again!

For our Christmas present this year my parents gave us a week at our timeshare in Orlando. It was great! We spent 2 days in Sea World and 2 days at Disney! We saw Shamu (twice), ate with the sharks, watched fireworks, fed the dolphins, saw an ice skating show, and went on some rides. Maddie went on her first roller coaster (loved it!) and Jack on his first ride - the carousel. It was such a blast we are already planning our trip back!

We had a wonderful Christmas at Nana and Poppop's house. Aunt Mimi and Aunt Jen were there too! Hopefully next year we will be in our own house for the holidays and hopefully Daddy will be living in South Carolina with us!

Waiting for Daddy

Daddy drove all night to get to us for Christmas eve...

We waited outside and were glad to see him when he got here! Even Jack ran right up to him with a big smile on his face. Maddie of course was beaming. It was a great day. And then Santa came! How much better can it get? If only you knew!

These pics are from December...just before Christmas. Maddie loves gymnastics and her coach says she does very well! It is fun to watch her! Maddie also attends a little preschool 2 mornings a week. She is learning so much there! Can't believe she might go to real pre-k next year!

Jack's First B-day!

Hmmmm - what is this silly thing?
Ok I can do this by myself!
Blowing out his first candle!
Sharing his presents with Maddie
Birthday muffin!

As you all know our life is kind of crazy this year! We celebrated Jack's birthday with the cousins early in December. Then we celebrated with Daddy the day after Christmas. We also celebrated on the real day by visiting Santa (which he didn't like so much)! So Jack had many little parties! But I promise when we are in our own house next year you will have a BIG party Jack! And your day will always be special - even if it is almost Christmas!
Jack is a "true" boy already. He is so busy and always on the move. He smiles all the time. Jack is into and checks out everything. He just wants to be like Madigail. He loves her so much. Jack calls Maddie "ama" "ama" over and over - yelling to her, following her around the house. She seems to like him just as much - most of the time.
Hard to believe our baby boy is already one!
