Good Times!

Getting ready for her big 3 birthday party - it's a luau!

Jack loving the cool kiddie pool

Classic fruit roll up face! (I threw the rest out! LOL!)

Happy at the beach....

Loving the ocean already...

We are relaxed and happy...Live is good!

We go to the beach, swim in the pool, catch frogs and bugs, play in the sandbox,

visit with family and friends, eat ice cream, play at many different playgrounds,

ride bikes, take walks and go shopping (yippee!)

Who could ask for more...

We are busy getting ready for Maddie's 3rd birthday! It is going to be a Hawaiin Luau...

Hope you will be here with us!

Harbour Town Yacht Club

On the boat - we saw lots of dolphins!

saying "MMMM" is it for Mommy or Maddie?

Jack meets Aunt Mimi

Maddie doing her "Titanic" impression with Nannie

Waiting for the boat.....
Last weekend Aunt Mimi came all the way from Chicago to meet Jack. We had lots of fun in the pool and went on a boat cruise to see dolphins. We got to see lots! Maddie at first was yelling at Poppop to stop banging on the side of the boat (in the old days when you could feed the dolphins this brought them close!) by the end of the trip Maddie was banging on the boat too! Nana and Poppop also have a new "club" the Harbour Town Yacht Club. I think we will ALL enjoy the view from the roof top deck and the boat trips...as well as the drinks and the food. Maddie owned the place by the end of the evening! She pressed the elevator button for anyone who left and was laying on the couch. Jack even enjoyed it! Maddie enjoyed sharing a room with Mimi and followed her everywhere. Maddie couldn't remember Mimi's name and called her "Her" most of the time. But she definately enjoyed Mimi's company especially when they danced the Green Alligator song together at Shannon Tanner. She wants to go to Chicago and visit! Maybe next year....

Loving the water!

Big Squirts!

So cute!

Maddie's first time setting the table!

The Beach!

Jack in his beach tent!

Ta-Da! I set the table by myself!

Maddie did this all by herself!

Maddie will be 3 in a few weeks...we've been working on setting the table and some other chores. But for the most part we do them together. Last week she set the table on her own (and very nicely)! She carried one thing at a time from the kitchen out to the porch and set it on the table. Maddie was very proud of her work! We have a pop-up tent to keep Jack cool on the beach...he was all smiles playing in it last weekend. He liked sitting in the waves and grabbed his first hand full of sand.

Swimming Lessons!

Swimming with Poppop

Jack's done - Maddie's turn!

Bathing beauty waiting for her lesson!

Jack loving his sweet potatoes!
These two are little fish! We started swimming lessons (for both) last Saturday and practice in Poppop's pool every night. Less than a week later, Maddie won't use her swimmies and is swimming under water 3/4 of the way across the pool! She also jumps in and swims to you...Jack kicks his feet and floats in a tube very happily. On the land Jack is "worming" around. He is starting to get on his knees too - he will be crawling for real by next week!

We made it to HHI!

On the road again...now we ride so well we can even leave the driveway!

Swimming!

Pig Tails!

Gardening with Poppop!

Jack - enjoying the heat!

It took us two nights in a hotel, one stop at Chuck E. Cheese, and lots of help from Nana but we made it to Hilton Head by car! The trip wasn't too bad - we just took our time. Guess if we have to go back, we can (LOL!)...Maddie got right in the pool and started amazing us with her skills. Just 4 days later she is jumping in and going under all in one quick move. When she comes up her face is so cute. Jack also seems to like the water - he kicks his feet and laughs and smiles. He will be crawling before long - he inches his way along right now and is always moving. Jack is also waiting for that first tooth to pop through - we can see it - so any day now! Enjoy the summer - we are!
