Doing what we do!

Playing in our new boat in the ocean!

Curious George for Mom and Dad's 8th wedding anniversary

Our new playset....

Loving the swings!

And here is the rest of it...the thing is HUGE!
Random pictures of life at our house...It doesn't get much better than this!

Saddle Ridge Ranch...Maddie's first VBS!

Our little cowgirl!

Singing on the stage

All smiles!

So excited...

Cowgirl outfit number 1!

Maddie went to VBS for the first time...she LOVED it! VBS is Vacation Bible School and it was hosted by the church where Maddie attends Pre-school. At VBS they made a great craft every day, sang and danced, and learned some Bible verses. We bought the CD, it was so fun to see her in the rearview mirror, each day, doing the cute little dances in the car. We listened to that CD over and over and over. By Thursday her teacher told me she was like a deflated balloon. She was exhausted every afternoon! She learned so much...asking me all kinds of questions about God (hopefully I had the right answers!) Finally, on Friday they ended with a show and a lunch. She was so excited before the show - running back and forth to me, Nana and Poppop and giving us all kisses. So happy Maddie will go back to the same church for school next year! Can't wait for VBS next summer too!
PS. I should mention the theme for VBS was obviously "cowboy". On Wednesday, as we walked into the church Maddie asked me for her cowgirl dress up hat (too late!) So on Thursday we wore the whole outfit! Friday too! All her doing!

Jack's Big Boy Bed!

Sharing his "big" boy bed with Maddie

Sleepy Time (it is an act!)

Look at me!

Jack doesn't pose EVER...he was so proud of his new bed!
He turned around - look at me!

Climbing up on his own!

Jack NEVER slept in his crib...ok maybe for two months through the night when we moved to our new house. And sometimes for nap time....So I finally decided it is time to just put him in a toddler bed. He hasn't slept in it yet (almost a month!) but it is my fault...maybe tomorrow night?! Well definately by the time he is 2! LOL!

One Training Wheel!

Daddy trying to guide the way

She did better on her own!

Jack loves the water!

Looking good!

Maddie is really ready to get rid of her training wheels...so we waited and waited for Dan to be here for good and teach her. One early evening we packed up the bike and hit the beach - lots of falls and a soft landing - seemed like a great idea! When we got there it was high tide and there wasn't much beach! She did awesome anyway....we should have just taken both training wheels off from the start. But pretty soon we will head back down to the beach and finish the lesson!

End of the Year Gymnastics Show!

Bridge

Jumping on the trampoline

Goofing off!

Maddie and Brynn!

Waiting for a turn on the beam!

Madigail loves gymnastics...and she seems to be pretty good too! Her favorite part is definitely jumping on the trampoline. Her second favorite is probably the huge foam pit. They have to hang from the "bars" very high up and drop into it...no one else in her class will do it! But Maddie has no fear. During the regular class, they call on her first almost every time to "model" the action. These pictures are from the End of the Year Show. At the end of the show they had a fundraiser. They asked all the kids to collect donations for a "forward roll a-thon". When they said go - Maddie started rolling one after the other super fast! She was on fire...she did 9! She got to the end of the mat and didn't realize she could turn around and go back (instead she tried to do a backward roll) - otherwise she would have done many more!

Best Friends at the Beach

Brynn and Madigail

Too cute!

They don't always play this nice!
Maddie and Brynn love playing together...most of the time. Just today Maddie told me she wished we lived next door to Brynn. I asked why? Because that would be fun Mommy. We would see her everyday! At the same time Brynn's family is away this week. Maddie has drawn Brynn a picture and wants to mail it to her...because she misses her so! The picture is of Maddie's new playground and it is an invitation to come over and play!

Lowcountry Life X 2

Lol!

All American Boy!

I am not sure where she was going with her back pack and all...

But she looked soooo cute!

All American Girl!

LowCountry Life

Maddie's end of the year show!

Popsicles!

Maddie will only eat the purple ones!

Jack - that is the wrong way!

Coloring together.

This is our life...what more can I say. Days at the pool and the beach, eating popsicles together, coloring together, and playing. We sometimes fight but we also hug and kiss each other - a little sibling rivalry is completely normal right? When they are apart they miss each other...although they seem to like the break! Life in the lowcountry is easy going!

Surfer Girl Maddie!

Jack is always eating...even at the beach!
Waiting for the perfect wave!

Running back into the water!

Watching the waves!

And here she goes again!

Maddie Rocks Shannon Tanner!

Ta Da!
Look Mama a shell!

Waiting for the show to start...they wanted to be the first on stage!

Maddie LOVES Shannon Tanner...And she loves singing on stage with him. It started last summer - she sang the Wonder Pets Theme. This year she sang "Doe a Dear". It is only June...wonder how many times she will be a star this summer! Hmmm - wonder what we should do tonight? Shelter Cove anyone? LOL!

Mother's Day Beach Party

Chillin'
Tavo and Jack
Climbing into Dylan and Devin's sand pit

Playing!

Lana and Jack
Our Mother's Day Eve Beach Party was a calm, relaxed evening at the beach...there were no flyovers, and no rainbows but we did get rained on! Just a small shower (felt like hail!)...that Maddie keeps reminding me about "Mommy remember that beach party and we all got rained on - that was fun!" It was like we all just met at the beach and hung out...Another perfect family gathering...I know they are smiling down on us from above! :)

Family Fun

A beautiful rainbow went over our house...

It was actually 2! Look right above house - it is there!

Snow cones!

Daddy and Jack

Happiness!

How come Mommy isn't in any of the pictures? I am not camera shy...just always seem to be the one capturing the moments! That's ok...I get to see the smiles and record them forever! That is a pretty big job! The rainbow over our house was amazing...it is hard to see the second one (it is on top of the first) and starts above the house between the two peaks. Crazy thing? A few weeks later (this week) we saw another double rainbow in the exact same spot! Life is moving along quite nicely these days....settling in to the lowcountry and loving our warm summer days!
